About Stage 3 - Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Plan
Stage 3 of the plan-making process relates to the Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Plan that was published in July 2015. The Chief Executive prepared the Proposed Material Alterations (see documents below) for public consultation. Submissions and observations were invited from Thursday February 25th 2016 to 4pm Tuesday March 29th 2016.
This was your opportunity to have your say on the proposed Material Alterations and/or the Environmental Report (Addendum 2) only, which will influence the formation of the South Dublin County Council Development Plan 2016-2022.
Submissions and observations on the alterations were accepted online and via post to Senior Executive Officer, Land Use Planning and Transportation Department, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
Where did the proposed Material Alterations originate?
The proposed Material Alterations originated from the consideration of the submissions and observations received between July and September 2015 on the Draft Development Plan 2016 - 2022. The Chief Executive prepared a report on the submissions and the Elected Members considered the report at Special Council Meetings in February 2016, agreeing proposed changes to the Draft Plan.
Adoption of the Plan
The Chief Executive's Report for the public consultation on the Proposed Material Alterations and the Environmental Report (Addendum 2) was circulated to the Elected Members on April 20th 2016. The Elected Members finalised their consideration of the contents of the report at a Special Council Meeting on May 16th. The Elected Members made the South Dublin County Council Development Plan 2016 - 2022 on May 16th 2016.
The County Development Plan 2016 - 2022 will have official effect from 12th June 2016 and will be used in the determination of all planning applications from this date. The final version of the document will be available on www.sdcc.ie and www.southdublindevplan.ie from the operational date.
