This report was submitted to the Elected Members for their consideration in December 2014. The Elected Members considered the report and submitted motions to direct the Chief Executive Officier regarding the preparation of the Draft Plan. Special Development Plan Council meetings were held on Thursday 12th February and Monday 16th February to discuss the motions and give direction to the Chief Executive Officer regarding the Plan.

The South Dublin County Council Draft Development Plan 2016-2022 was prepared by the Council over a 12 week period, beginning on February 16th 2015 and was considered by the Elected Members over a series of Special Development Plan Council meetings in June 2015.

The publishing of the Draft Plan began Stage 2 of the plan-making process and was available for inspection over a 10 week period between July 13th and September 24th 2015; submissions and observations with respect to the Draft Development Plan were received during this period.
